Techstream key registration has failed

It worked great for a caveman like me who is just learning electronic tuning.ġ. I did get the remote door lock/unlock to work without the software following these analog steps. It's really touchy making it work on Win10, you're right. Please Help.Ĭlick to expand.I may just try running a virtual XP in 32 bit mode and see if that works. I was running v12 (does this correspond with car years -> aka will it not work with a 2013?). Any of you pro's have any ideas? Only things i could think of: get an older PC and install WINXP natively not virtualized, AND, perhaps i need a newer version of the software. I was feeling so good i was gonna save a couple hundred dollars. However when i click next all i get is an error after a few moments saying Wireless Code Registration has failed, with no explanation. So i put the key in the ignition, turn it to ON, open the driver side door, and unlock that driver side door as it tells me. Next i get the screen telling me what the procedure will be.

Next i followed the posted videos clicking Main Body > Utility > Wireless Code Registration.

It even succesfully pulled the VIN so im thinking all is well. I selected w/o smart key then clicked next. I plugged in the USB cable, opened the software, clicked auto-detect vehicle and it successfully found the right car a 2013 RAV4. Note that i am running WinXP virtualized thru a MacOS system. Update: I was finally able to try the techstream software today.
